Women travelers

Women do travel Pakistan solo, and mostly report extraordinary hospitality alongside extra attention. Islamabad specifically is the easiest city in the country for it. These notes aim to be practical rather than alarmist.

1. 1Dress: modest, loose clothing genuinely reduces attention; a scarf in the bag covers mosque visits and conservative pockets.
2. 2Transport: app rides over street taxis, always; sit in the back; share the live trip link with someone.
3. 3The Metrobus and many queues have women's sections, use them, they're a gift.
4. 4Staring happens and is usually curiosity, not threat; sunglasses and purposeful walking are the veteran move.
5. 5A firm, unsmiling "no" is understood and respected; you owe nobody conversation.
