What we collect today
Right now, almost nothing. Your saved places and pinned country live in your browser's local storage, on your device — we never see them. Currency rates are fetched from a public API without any account identifier.
Your location
The Emergency page's location assist reads your GPS coordinates only when you tap the button, only to display them to you and prefill an SMS you choose to send. Coordinates are not transmitted to SafePak.
When accounts launch
Account features (sign-in, synced saves, reports) will store your email, chosen country, and saved items — the minimum needed for the feature to work. This page will be updated before those features go live, and the changes will be listed plainly.
Analytics
We plan to measure anonymized, aggregate usage (which pages help, which searches fail) to improve the guide and to demonstrate visitor demand to tourism partners. Aggregate means counts and patterns — never an individual's identifiable trail.
What we don't do
We don't sell personal data. We don't run third-party ad trackers. We don't disguise sponsored content as recommendations — that's the Honesty Principle, and it applies to data too.
